The beauty of today’s style is that anything goes, no matter what your age or gender. The age of barbering is making a comeback along with fun colors and dramatic styles. If you want to wear a colorful rainbow in your hair go for it.

The summer season is closely approaching. While everyone loves the sun, sand, and sitting by the pool, this is the time of year when many people experience extreme damage to their hair. The sun changes coloring. The oxidization destroys your vibrant coloring, tones it to a brassy hue and dulls the natural shine. The heat can degrade protein which otherwise protects your hair. UV rays are alos damaging. The chlorine in pools and salt water can also cause hair issues. Your hair is at risk of becoming frizzy and brittle. How do we protect our hair when we are having fun in the sun?
Hello readers I’m hoping that this month finds you in great health, great spirits and most important some great shoes!! I am actually not a big fan of March , but I must say I am happy that it is finally here and New York Fashion Week is officially over!!
Although I promised myself this year I would not get caught up in the hustle and bustle of all of the fashion shows and events, it was completely unavoidable. I battled the ice,snow and freezing cold of New York City to witness first-hand all of the hottest looks on the runway.
And the not so hot !

February is here and I hope everyone is keeping warm and fabulous!! Which also means Valentine’s Day is approaching. I must confess this is one of my least favorite holidays for many reasons. First of all you start seeing the teddy bears and heart-shaped boxes of chocolates the very next day after Christmas which I believe is a little premature but hey I guess some people like to shop early?
Obviously, there is more to it than a simple yes or no answer. In today’s age, there are so many choices and so much information out there. As a society, the value of a woman is placed in her beauty. Beauty is often defined as looking young and vibrant. We as a population are expected to keep up our appearances or fear destruction of life as we know it. This could affect our marriages, our career, and our relationship with our children. This is a whole other story all together the social norms of what is beautiful. Putting that aside, let’s focus on the skinny of hair philosophy.

With versatility, this boot can be dressed up with a simple mini dress or completely dressed down, over some jeans. Add a t-shirt and your choice of jacket and you have a hot ensemble. These boots can be found online at various price points and in an array of fabulous colors, or sometimes you might be able to score them from a local thrift store.
As recently announced. there are many changes in 2017 with Rochester Woman Magazine. The first was the transformation to Rochester Woman Online. Some are skeptical about the decision to go to an all digital format, but staying up with the times is necessary in any prospering venture. This is a change which will set the stage as Rochester Woman Online becomes a trendsetter in the industry and our home community during this upcoming year.
