Separation of Church and State of Mind: Discrimination Masquerading as Religious Freedom & Superiority

They say it’s best to avoid talking about religion and politics so as not to offend anyone. You know – political correctness and all. The thing is, I’m not a politician and political correctness is just another form of restrictive social “bs” in my book. If I held my tongue every time there was potential for someone to find what I have to share offensive, I’d never speak publicly again. Having said that, it is my goal to offer useful information, insight, and provide opinions in thoughtful, respectful ways, which are least likely to be off-putting. ANTI- TRANSGENDER: Bathroom Laws and Why Good People Fall for This Destructive Political Charade

You may have heard a thing or two about controversial “anti-transgender bathroom bills” and confusing messages about what it means to be transgender. Although most of the proposed and existing bathroom legislation includes trans men and trans women, I’m going to focus primarily on trans women because we’re the main target of misleading political propaganda and fearmongering tactics. So, what’s all the fuss about transgender bathroom use and how come no one seemed to care until about a year ago? I’ll attempt to explain that and reveal dangerous implications that may affect all women transgender or not.

Meeting Life’s Challenge’s as Growth Opportunities

Life is full of challenges. Some don’t require much effort while others seem like ominous, impossible circumstances that linger quite some time, until we figure them out… if we figure them out.

My biggest challenge in life has been growing up as a transgender woman in a world that doesn’t understand what “transgender” means. It’s been a series of challenges really, all stemming from being transgender (or perceived “different”) in today’s cultural and social climate.
